PA Media has announced a partnership with esports statistics provider PandaScore, allowing the content provider – previously known as the Press Association – becoming the firm’s exclusive data distribution partner in the UK and North Europe.
PA’s betting division will also non-exclusively represent PandaScore in the US market, with the latter’s proprietary machine learning data collection systems streamlining odds generation for operators across tournament titles such as CS:GO and League of Legends.
“PandaScore’s innovative approach to using AI to collect and process real time data from esports matches, combined with PA’s unparalleled reach, provides a powerful proposition for sportsbook operators,” said PA’s MD of racing and sports Michael Grenham.
“This new relationship with PandaScore is a significant step in PA’s ambitions to form partnerships around predictive data with groundbreaking businesses around the world.”
PA Media already provides live data and form guides through its racing and betting division, but will use the latest deal to increase its presence in the burgeoning esports industry. “Esports is a rapidly growing and competitive marketplace,” said PandaScore CEO Flavien Guillocheau.
“PA shares our vision that esports are a big part of the future, especially with millennial and gen-z audiences which are as interested in Fortnite as football.”
