Scientific Games has announced the acquisition of US real-time sports betting data supplier Don Best Sports Corporation as an addition to its new Sportsbook Operations team.
The firm, which has established over 100 international sportsbook partnerships over its 20 year history, will become part of the SG Digital division in a deal set to be completed this year.
“When it comes to sports betting, we’ve been moving at incredible speed,” said president and chief executive of Scientific Games, Barry Cottle. “The Don Best acquisition will add to our unrivalled B2B one-stop shop sports betting solution, already live in Delaware, New Jersey and Mississippi.”
The acquisition follows several key US partnerships for Scientific Games since the repeal of PASPA in May, including a recent agreement with the Delaware Lottery, a virtual sports deal with Pennsylvania Lottery, and sportsbook provision for Caesars in Mississippi and New Jersey.
Scientific Games’ established presence in regulated states means the Don Best partnership will be able serve customers as soon as the integration takes place.
“Don Best already seamlessly integrates into our OpenBet platform, so they will be able to hit the ground running,” said Keith O’Loughlin, senior vice-president of sportsbook for SG Digital.
