Golden Race prepares to enter UK market after licence approval

Virtual sports developer Golden Race has been granted a Remote Gambling Operating Licence by the UK Gambling Commission.

The Malta-based company, which recently released its UEFA-inspired Euro Champions football tournament title, hopes to prosper in the UK market thanks to its low-cost distribution model.

“Based on our long-term relationships with UK operators, we are quite confident that Golden Race will become one of the main virtual sports partners in the country,” said founder and CEO Martin Wachter.

The approval for Golden Race comes ahead of continued expansion plans in the European regulated market, beyond its already licensed operations in Italy, Malta, and Romania.

“Increasing the number of regulated markets in which the company operates is a key part of the Golden Race’s strategy,” added Wachter.

The firm’s virtual football portfolio is available across retail, online and mobile channels, and via the company’s Golden Boxes platform.
