Scientific Games has launched its virtual sports service in the newly regulated US state of Pennsylvania.
Part of a partnership with Pennsylvania Lottery, Xpress Sports will be made available across a number of retail venues, bars and taverns.
“Virtual sports games appeal to Pennsylvanians’ passion for sports and, like all of our games, virtual sports games are supported by systems technology innovation,” said Drew Svitko, director of the Pennsylvania Lottery.
“Our recent game entertainment expansion with Keno, iLottery and now virtual sports is already generating new funds to benefit older Pennsylvanians.”
The initial offering will include motor racing and American football, and comes ahead of increased development for the online and mobile gaming service developed by the two parties.
Since Pennsylvania welcomed the launch of its iLottery online and mobile operations in May, the service has generated $51.3m in sales, the most commercially successful iLottery offering in the country.
