Yggdrasil to ‘cross the rubicon’ with GVC

Yggdrasil Gaming has partnered with GVC Holdings to enter the Italian market early in 2017’s second quarter.

 

Eleven of Yggdrasil’s html5 games are to be certified by the Italian regulators initially and integrated on GVC’s Italian-facing sites bwon.it and Gioco Digitale.

“We are thrilled to have joined forces with an operator as big and as respected as GVC to enter the Italian market,” commented CEO Fredrik Elmqvist. “We have grown our footprint across Europe this past year. This is the latest in a long line of big deals, and shows the progress we are making and just how desirable our games and ingame promotional tools have become.”

Yggdrasil’s Italian portfolio contains a wide range of popular casino games, including Bicicleta, Vikings Go Wild and Seasons. The slots are integrated via the company’s own iSense 2.0 html5 framework which allows for simultaneous launches on desktop and mobile, and supported by Yggdrasil’s collection of ingame promotional tools, such as Boost, which is designed to increase engagement and retention, and Brag, the industry-first social sharing tool.

The deal is another accolade for the rising star of the slot space, which achieved notoriety in being named Innovator of the Year at the 2017 International Gaming Awards, and Slot Provider of the Year at the 2016 EGR B2B Awards.
