The Sky Betting & Gaming offices in Wellington Place Leeds has doubled in size recently with the addition of a football pitch, tech bars and local catering space.
[dropcap]S[/dropcap]ky Betting & Gaming has increased it presence as the landmark occupier of Wellington Place Leeds in a bid to boost productivity with innovative new space.
The company’s new offices will see its 150 strong tech team split into 15 autonomous squads located in bespoke zones across the innovation space featuring the latest workspaces and resources to aid in-depth problem solving.
Sky Betting & Gaming has also added a football pitch for company-wide stand up meetings, tech bars and booths and an in-house concession of local caterers Sociable Folk called SoFo Extra Time.
Head of Technology in the Bet Tribe, Paul McCormick, commissioned the research into the new building functionality. He said: “This marks a huge step-change for us in realising our growth ambitions. It’s been important to have a purpose built space to grow the business, improve efficiency, improve retention and explore innovation, designed for everyone. The bet floor is a concept for teams whose day-to-day work isn’t task or process driven and is tailored in an open plan way. This motivates our people who creative problem solve, giving them autonomy, a sense of ownership and an environment to complement the strides we’ve made in developing efficient working practices.”
Sky Betting & Gaming provided one in every 100 digital jobs in Leeds last year and the new office environments have been designed to stimulate continued growth and, following research by Oxford Economics last year which indicate Sky Betting & Gaming employees are five times as productive as an average employee in Yorkshire and the Humber, to develop productivity further.
