Malta is recognised internationally as the undisputed front-runner in the regulation of the online gaming industry and this year’s inaugural iGaming Education Forum will seek to enhance this with an entire day dedicated to the management of specific iGaming products.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he forum, which takes place during Malta’s renowned SiGMA conference (16/17/18 November), has curated its second day to deliver comprehensive training on three particular iGaming products and the current and future trends governing these sectors respectively.

With the industry looking to iGaming as a key area for development in the future, the bespoke workshops on Online Casino Management, Online Sportsbook Management and Fantasy Sports at SiGMA’s first ever educational forum could help define the development of these expanding sectors for governing bodies, companies and customers alike.

The first edition of the iGaming Education Forum aims to tap into Malta’s foresight in developing the iGaming industry and for iGaming Academy Director, Jaime Debono, these product specific courses form a key aspect of how the industry can continue to drive innovation. He explained: “The industry has developed exponentially over the last decade with most major gaming operators offering online casinos, the rise in online sports betting and, more recently, the growing eSports sector, so our aim is to continue driving these evolving sectors forward. Back in 2004 Malta paved the way as the first EU Member State to enact comprehensive legislation on remote gaming, and we want to continue this innovative foresight by helping everyone from individuals keen to learn more about iGaming to industry executives enhance their knowledge about Online Casino, Online Sportsbook and Fantasy sports offering.”

Our three Product Specific courses comprise the entire second day of the iGaming Education Forum and we expect it will be an extremely popular day due to the three sectors being discussed and the gaming experts we have secured to deliver each course.

Jaime added: “Our three Product Specific courses comprise the entire second day of the iGaming Education Forum and we expect it will be an extremely popular day due to the three sectors being discussed and the gaming experts we have secured to deliver each course. Firstly, the Online Casino Management workshop is an ideal fit for the forum with practically every operator offering online casino and the rising popularity of Online Slots, Roulette, Blackjack and Live Casinos. Sports Betting is one of the most varied disciplines in iGaming so we expect this course to be popular across the industry as it delivers content surrounding in-play betting, live betting, antepost betting and risk factoring amongst many other factors of the sector in our Sports Betting Management course. Lastly, one of the founders and current CEO of Oulala, Valery Bollier, will be the speaker for our Fantasy Sports course, a comprehensive breakdown of one of the most talked about new sectors in the global gaming industry. Valery will be joined by Michele Magro from the MGA, who will enlighten attendees as to the regulation surrounding the issue.”

With over 80 years worth of gaming experience, the speakers at the first ever educational forum at SiGMA will cover the past, present and future of these contemporary sectors with keen focus on the evolving technology which supports them. Jaime continued: “Technology moves at such an impressive pace currently that the industry needs to ensure that everyone working in the industry is kept abreast of it which is what we hope to achieve with the iGaming Education Forum. At first, online gaming and eSports were seen as only applicable to younger generations but it’s clear that online gaming is attractive to a diverse range of customers with many opportunities opening across these new sectors and we want to ensure that companies are primed to make the most of this. As with any sector using new technology, the trends that govern Online Casinos, Online Sportsbook and eSports continue to shift and change rapidly and it’s vital for the industry to be able to tap into these to engage its customers. With all three of our Product Specific courses there a host of requirements and factors needed to be successful and we want to ensure that anyone taking part in one of these courses has all the tools they need when considering adding a vertical or making a complete shift from one vertical to another.”
