Following a strong set of Q3 results, soon-to-merge Gala Coral has announced the launch of a new sportsbook front-end for the company’s Coral betting brand.

[dropcap]G[/dropcap]ala Coral has completed the development of a new sportsbook front-end that’s set to be rolled out across the firm’s mobile, tablet and desktop channels.

The new product is designed to streamline the firm’s reporting and analytics, giving Gala Coral greater insight into player behaviour and the efficacy of its marketing strategies. It also aims to combine the brand’s mobile and desktop sportsbook sites into one simplified product.

According to Coral, the sportsbook contains a range of new features for customers to enjoy, including lottery betting options and football visualisations to give punters greater depth of insight into betting statistics.

Following its launch on the company’s mobile and tablet channels, the sportsbook is set to be rolled out on desktop in the coming months.

Meanwhile, after releasing a positive set of third-quarter results, Coral is pushing ahead with the sale of around 350 shops ahead of its merger with retail betting giant Ladbrokes.

In its latest financial statement, the company saw the biggest growth in turnover on its online channels – and – where revenues climbed by 26 percent and 25 percent respectively.

This was credited in part to effective customer acquisition during the major football tournaments.

For the twelve weeks ended 2 July 2016, Coral saw group net revenues grow by £23m (€27m) to £264m (€310.9m) – a year-on-year increase of ten percent. EBITDA, meanwhile, grew by £6.5m (€7.66m) – or 13 percent – to £57.7m (€68m) against the same period in 2015.

“This demonstrates that with market-leading technology and innovative content and features, significant growth can be achieved,” said Keith O’Loughlin, director of sportsbook at Coral.

“Creating our own technology platform gives us the ability to significantly accelerate our product innovation and it also gives us the flexibility to deliver a richer customer experience.”

Ladbrokes and Coral are widely expected to complete shop this Autumn, with the completion of the merger coming in the final quarter of the year.
