Racecourse Media Group confirmed that it has paid £80m (E101m) in media rights to its 34 syndicated UK racetracks throughout 2015, representing an eight percent increase on media pay-outs for the previous year generated from licence fees of racing broadcast owners.

Presenting its figures, RMG governance confirmed that 66.3m race video-streams were generated via bet to view, up from 51.8m in 2014, while international TV non-betting revenues increased from £3.6m (E4.55m) to £6.3m (E7.97m).

Commenting on the broadcast payments, RMG CEO, Richard FitzGerald said: “The combined 2016 budgets for RMG and AMRAC will improve on the £80m in total licence fees delivered in 2015 and we can realistically project more than £100m in licence fees for 2019 and beyond.”
